The Strange Papers of Dr Blayre ---by Christopher Blayre ( Purple Sapphire; House Way to Hell; Aalila; Mirror that Remembered; Purpura Lapillus; Mano Pantea; Thing that Smelt; Blue Cockroach; Man who Killed Jew; Demon; Cosmic Dust )( DR )( Creeps Series)

---------hardcover, a solid Very Good copy, light wear, age lightening to the spine of the book's teal/green cloth, age toning and browning to paper, book is tight and square, a very nice copy of a scarce book, ---in a very pleasing Good dustjacket, some shallow chips and tears but the front panel image is largely unaffected and is bright and clean, tears along the flap folds, short mostly closed tear and very small chip on front panel near the outstretched man's left arm (at the spine edge), a bit of age darkening to the spine of the jacket, rear white panel is largely white with ads for other books in the CREEPS series, that white panel has some light soiling, overall a very nice copy of a book that is rarely found in jacket, besides adding four stories that were not in the 1921 edition this enlarged edition drops the "COSMOPOLI, JANUARY, 1952." from the mock introduction--- this was previously released as The Purple Sapphire but this edition adds 4 stories, this contains: The Purple Sapphire; House on the Way to Hell; Aalila; The Mirror that Remembered; Purpura Lapillus; Mano Pantea; The Thing that Smelt; The Blue Cockroach; The Man who Killed the Jew; The Demon; The Book; The Cosmic Dust, most stories are of a supernatural nature, even good old Bernard Quaritch gets a brief mention in one story, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo
